The series was created by Mickey Fisher and stars Sarah Shahi as Mara Kint, a former hostage negotiator who is recruited by her old boss to work for a company that has developed a virtual reality program called Reverie. The program allows people to enter their deepest desires, but some users become trapped within the virtual world and Mara must enter to save them.
